A New Year, but also a new lockdown! As we all know we are once again facing a more serious position with the Covid-19 pandemic. Infection rates and hospitalisation is climbing and the need to manage the situation in a different way until the vaccine programme is more widely implemented is clear.
A number of residents at Wadswick Green have been among the first to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech jab and the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine will no doubt follow shortly too.
However, until that roll out happens nationally and restrictions are able to be lifted, we have now adapted to the latest guidelines and returned to an operational state that meets those requirements.
Everyone at Wadswick Green remains absolutely committed to keeping staff, residents and essential visitors safe, whilst promoting an independent and fulfilling lifestyle.
The Greenhouse restaurant is open 7 days a week, 10am until 5pm, for food and drinks, but only for collection and delivery, along with the village shop. The latter will continue to be supplied with fresh seasonal produce from the onsite market garden. Other facilities such as the hair salon, gym, pool and exercise classes have had to pause. However, once again some activities will be moving online so that everyone can keep active and engaged. And Wadswick Green is blessed with extensive grounds in great surroundings so taking a stroll or something more demanding is never an issue.
Our transport service remains a vital part of the offering at Wadswick Green and this continues, although it is restricted to one household at a time and for essential trips only.
It goes without saying that social distancing and strict hygiene and other safety protocols remain in place throughout. In line with the government guidelines construction continues at our new village, Siddington Park in Cirencester.
Our sales team are still dealing with increased levels of interest and are facilitating pre-arranged visits, viewings and move-ins in a Covid-secure way. Guided virtual tours are available for those that want to discover what is on offer at Wadswick Green and Mickle Hill before making a visit and we will continue to safely welcome new residents over the coming months and beyond.
Our CQC registered Rangeford Care service at Wadswick Green provides essential care and support to many residents and is operating in a ‘business as usual’ manner, although every member of that team is now tested on a weekly basis.
Many thanks to all the Rangeford colleagues, our residents and their families for being so positive and supportive in 2020. I am sure that 2021 will be a very different year, which we are all looking forward to! Please click this link to see how our Wadswick Green residents rated our response to the pandemic so far.

Stamp duty relief is set to end on 31st March 2021, meaning retirees keen to downsize still have time to benefit from it. To guarantee a quick and stress-free move, later living specialist Rangeford Villages at Wadswick Green in Corsham, Wiltshire, is offering a number of services to help them move before the deadline. And, contrary to a common perception, over 60s don’t necessarily have to sell their current home before being able to reserve their chosen apartment.

Hilary moved to Wadswick Green in 2016 and she always joins the Christmas lunch at The Greenhouse Restaurant. She lived in Australia for several years and still has most of her family there, so she appreciates being able to celebrate Christmas with the friends she has at Wadswick Green.
