Coronavirus update from Rangeford Villages - CEO Howard Nankivell

13th May

As the nation enters the next phase of managing the Coronavirus outbreak, we at Wadswick Green and Rangeford Villages continue to adapt to keep staff and residents as safe as possible whilst promoting an independent and fulfilled lifestyle.

Our sales team are still available to handle enquiries, answer questions or to progress with reservation specific actions. We are soon going to be able to facilitate site visits and move ins once all the necessary precautions and risk assessments have been put in place and in line with the latest government guidance.

We are also exploring ways to gradually reintroduce some village services once we have made the workplace as safe as possible and again in line with the latest government guidelines.

The measures we have taken, and will continue to take, are based around the most up to date advice as well as the actions of colleagues at other ARCO retirement communities and from the CQC. Importantly residents’ views and concerns are also taken into account and acted on as appropriate.

Wadswick Green is open to residents, key members of staff, essential contractors that need to attend the site and key family members. Everyone is required to adhere to strict hygiene and social distancing measures at all times and these protocols will remain in place as we enter the next phase in managing the situation.

The Greenhouse Restaurant is providing take away and delivery services and our Village Shop continues to cater for any essential items and offers vital back up and peace of mind. We have a growing number of engagement and activity programmes for residents to participate in to help keep village life as stimulating as possible. Residents have also been highly inventive in this regard too. We will soon be able to expand this in a safe and phased manner.

Our Rangeford Care service continues to provide essential care and support to many residents and this remains a priority area for us. So far, this service has required only minor changes and the team continue to provide an excellent ‘front line’ service.

Everyone’s understanding and cooperation during this national effort is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,
