As we enter the latest phase of the Covid-19 pandemic, Rangeford Villages continues to adapt in order to adhere to the very latest Government guidelines. It is of course vitally Imperative that residents remain safe, and importantly are able to live their lives the way they want to, but always within the latest restrictions.
Everyone at Wadswick Green as well as our other staff members remain committed to keeping staff, residents and guests safe, whilst promoting an independent and fulfilling lifestyle.
We have already reintroduced many village services such as use of the gym, pool, hairdresser, guest suite, beauty salon, Village Hall and The Greenhouse restaurant and it is uplifting to see so many residents once again enjoying the many services on offer. However, we have had to make small but important changes to the way we operate specifically with the size of exercise classes, use of communal transport, the format of resident events, the wearing of masks, additional sanitisation stations and of course safe use of the restaurant and bar.
At Wadswick Green we are fortunate to benefit from extensive grounds with outdoor seating areas as well as the ever-popular Village Green, which although still functioning will reduce in usage as the cooler months approach.
Social distancing protocols remain in place for all events and activities, so they are slightly different to past versions but no less enjoyable, and most of these will now move indoors. Exercise classes continue to draw increasing numbers of participants and these will continue safely in the Village Hall and gymnasium, albeit with reduced numbers but at a higher frequency.
Our sales team continue to deal with increasing levels of interest and are facilitating site visits and move-ins with the necessary precautions embedded. Virtual tours are also available for those that want to understand what is on offer at Wadswick Green and Mickle Hill before making a visit, and we all look forward to safely welcoming more new residents over the coming months.
Our CQC registered Rangeford Care service at Wadswick Green provides essential care and support to many residents and is operating in a ‘business as usual’ manner, albeit with extra hygiene, PPE and back office procedures. I would like to thank the team for their excellent work as always.
And all visitors to Wadswick Green are still required to adhere to strict hygiene and social distancing measures in line with the latest government guidelines.
Many thanks again to all the Rangeford team members, our residents and their families for being so positive, cheerful and supportive over the last six months and for the months that lie ahead. It has been a great team effort which I know will continue.

Downsizing can be daunting for retirees, particularly when it comes to the sale of their home. The costs and worry associated with numerous house viewings, the added stress of dealing with estate agents, and the uncertainty of the housing market can be a deterrent for many.
