Coronavirus update from Rangeford Villages - CEO Howard Nankivell

6th July

As the nation enters the next period of lockdown easing, everyone at Wadswick Green and Rangeford Villages remain committed to keeping staff and residents safe, whilst promoting an independent and fulfilling lifestyle.

We have already started to reintroduce many village services now that we have made the workplace ‘COVID-Secure’ and this will continue during the coming months. It is great to see the concierge team re-engaging with residents and facilitating trips to the shops for example.

Since closing in March, The Greenhouse restaurant has focussed on takeaway and delivery services only. These have been very popular and will continue to be part of our offering as will our pop-up shop. However, from the 4th July, The Greenhouse will be open to residents, their friends and family members. Additional screening, signage, table plans, social distancing and operational procedures have been put in place to make this as safe as possible. It will not look exactly like it did before lockdown but the service and atmosphere will be as warm and welcoming as usual. Just as exciting Figo’s, our onsite hairdressers, are also opening with specific risk mitigation strategies in place and the waiting list is not surprisingly already very long!

Our sales team are dealing with increasing levels of interest and continue to facilitate site visits and move-ins now that all the necessary precautions are embedded. We are all really looking forward to welcoming more new residents to Wadswick Green over the summer months.

Our Rangeford Care service continues to provide essential care and support to many residents and is operating in a ‘business as usual’ manner, albeit with extra hygiene, PPE and back office procedures.

All visitors to Wadswick Green are still required to adhere to strict hygiene and social distancing measures in line with the latest government guidelines.

Many thanks again to all the Rangeford team members, our residents and their families for being so positive, cheerful and supportive of one another over the last three months and importantly in the months to come. We do still need to be vigilant and stay alert.

Kind Regards,
