09/10/2018 Wadswick Green, Case Study
“Although we appreciate busy New York and Spain’s sunny weather, we concluded that we are now ready for the next phase of our retirement.”
Evelyn and John Pease have been spending their retirement between fashionable New York and the sunny Costa del Sol in Spain for the past 10 years but, despite their dual British / American citizenship giving them plenty of options abroad, they found that Wadswick Green in Wiltshire offers a lifestyle that will keep them happy in the long-term.
John comments: “Although we appreciate busy New York and Spain’s sunny weather, we concluded that we are now ready for the next phase of our retirement. As we like to plan ahead and are now approaching 80, we were looking for a property and community that offers an adaptable lifestyle for years to come.”
Evelyn adds: “We were hoping to find a US style retirement village; a place that offers a community feel with plenty of things going on and that has a modern feel to it. After exploring our options in the UK, we came across Wadswick Green when surfing the internet. Impressed by their vision, we arranged a site visit and agreed that the spacious apartments and overall ambience of the place meets our requirements perfectly.”
Having spent so much time abroad, it comes as no surprise that the Peases are not looking to give up their globetrotting lifestyle just yet. “We are planning on spending six months at Wadswick Green and five months in Spain to get the best of both worlds.”, John explains. The couple won’t have to worry about leaving their apartment unoccupied as Wadswick Green will look after it during their absence – perfect for a lock up & leave lifestyle.
John and Evelyn have bought a 2-bed Courtyard Apartment and opted for the walnut interior finish.
