Making Moving a Stress-Free Process: Rangeford Villages Introduces 100% Home Exchange Scheme

Rangeford Villages, the award-winning UK retirement developer has recently launched a 100% Home Exchange Scheme. Effective across all villages, the scheme allows prospective residents to sell their current property with ease and move into their new home promptly.

Designed to take the stress and hassle of moving home off new residents, this offer enables homeowners to sell their home to Rangeford Villages’ national home buying partners and therefore save on estate agent fees.

Using two independent valuations, once a purchase price has been agreed by both parties, homeowners can legally exchange contracts to purchase their chosen Rangeford Village home, typically within 45 days of instructing their house-buying partner.

Two residents who are already benefitting from the scheme are Keith and June Bedford, aged 82 and 78, respectively. The couple moved from Norfolk to Mickle Hill in Pickering, Yorkshire, in September 2023.

Commenting on their experience, they said that the exchange scheme “Was very straightforward, as far as we were concerned. We had a particular completion date in mind and so we started the process around the middle of July, whilst we were on holiday. We eventually managed to move in by our desired date and the whole move process took just over 8 weeks.

Speaking out about why they opted for the Home Exchange offer, Keith said: “It definitely shortened the time that it would have taken us to sell our home on the market, and we were well aware it could have taken up to 6 months or more to do that,” adding: “We didn't want the hassle of putting our home on the open market and having prospective buyers coming to view the property as well as knowing full well it would cost us a little bit more.”

How the 100% Home Exchange offer works:

• Once a new Rangeford Village home has been selected, residents will be referred to Rangeford’s trusted third-party partners who will arrange for two independent valuations of the current property.
• The current property must meet current mortgage lending rules and pass a satisfactory home buyers survey to be eligible for this incentive.
• Once a purchase price has been agreed by both parties, a legal exchange of contracts can take place, enabling homeowners to purchase their chosen Rangeford Village home - typically within 45 days of instructing the house buying partner.
