Rangeford Villages hires Head of Operations and Senior Land Manager

26/07/2022 General, Corporate

Rangeford Villages is continuing to expand its Senior Leadership Team with two key new hires this summer. New starters David Kanarens and Chris Jackson will join as Head of Operations and Senior Land Manager, from 25th July and 1st August respectively.

David is joining Rangeford after having worked for 7 years in the integrated retirement communities’ sector, most recently as Operations Director for the Audley Group, one of the UK’s leading luxury senior living providers. He previously worked in hospitality and held group and leadership roles for over 20 years in quality hotels and country clubs throughout the UK.

He says: “I am delighted to join the team and looking forward to using my experience aligning and embedding a high-end service culture into the senior living sector. My role will be key in guaranteeing the smooth running and continual improvement of all existing and future villages, so that residents can enjoy the high standard of service that they deserve in later life.”

Fellow new starter Chris Jackson is an experienced and driven land and development professional, having acquired land and managed planning applications across the country for the last eight years. His passion for the retirement living sector began during final year studies at Nottingham Trent University where he achieved a first-class honour for a BSc Hons in Planning and Property Development.

He says: “It’s a very exciting time to join, as the team is in the midst of a large expansion plan with two land purchases in Surrey and Cambridgeshire already confirmed. Helping Rangeford secure sought after, desirable locations across the country will offer retirees more access to housing options that are better adapted to their needs, with the comfort of modern builds and high standard throughout.”

CEO, Howard Nankivell says: “I am delighted to welcome David and Chris as part of our established team. Their new roles will form a key part in helping Rangeford secure its place as a leader in the retirement sector in the UK and taking our ambitious growth strategy forward. It’s a very dynamic time for us as a company and I am looking forward to seeing our team and villages grow.”

Rangeford Villages recent expansion follows the creation of three integrated retirement communities across the UK: Wadswick Green in Wiltshire, Mickle Hill in North Yorkshire and Siddington Park in the Cotswolds due to open later in 2022. Plus, the construction commencement of Homewood Grove in Surrey, as well as the recent successful acquisition of a much sought-after site in Stapleford, Cambridgeshire.
