08/08/2022 Siddington Park, General, Corporate

Siddington Park, the modern lifestyle village for the over 60s, on the outskirts of Cirencester, by award winning integrated retirement community specialist Rangeford Villages, was proud to host a VIP visit from local dignitary, Sir Geoffrey Clifton Brown MP on Tuesday 2nd August.

Sir Geoffrey Clifton Brown MP, the local Member of Parliament for the Cotswolds, and former member for Cirencester & Tewkesbury, was extended a special invitation by Will Ryan, Village Manager at Siddington Park to view the latest developments at the integrated retirement village.

The village is situated on a former 12-acre parkland site and will offer a selection of contemporary Cotswolds-inspired one, two and three-bedroom homes starting from £299,950 – exclusively for the over 60s. Construction on the c.£50m village commenced in March 2020 and is scheduled for final completion in summer/autumn 2022.

During the visit, Sir Geoffrey was given a guided tour of the development, the show home and the village’s first class facilitates, which will rival that of a five-star hotel. Sir Geoffrey also had the opportunity to meet with members of Rangeford Executive Team, Project Team, Sales Team and the villages first residents, to discuss how the village meets the demand for high-quality retirement housing in the local area.

Will Ryan, Village Manager said; “We were delighted to welcome Sir Geoffrey to Siddington Park and to showcase what the fully operational village will offer its forward-thinking residents and the local community in terms of its stunning communal spaces, leisure facilities and restaurant and bar areas,  which will all be open to the local community to enjoy.

Visitors to the village are often pleasantly surprised to discover the full range of facilities and services on offer here, which are designed to enable residents to life an independent lifestyle, with the added benefit of support services and an active social scene if they choose.

Rangeford prides itself on supporting the local community, and the village will also provide much needed jobs for local people, as well as building partnerships with local suppliers, businesses and charitable organisations.”

Sir Geoffrey Clifton Brown MP commented: “I was delighted to visit the emerging retirement village at Siddington Park today. The design standards of the houses that I saw were of a high standard and when completed the new central hub will provide and excellent swimming pool, restaurant and cinema which will obviously benefit residents, but will also be open to the wider public as well. I met a constituent who had already moved in and was very pleased to have made the decision after selling her home. Not surprisingly they are selling fast!”

Siddington Park offers residents the chance to enjoy a busy and fulfilling lifestyle, with access to an array of onsite amenities including a restaurant and bar, wellbeing spa, pool, gym, yoga and dance studio, resident’s lounge/cinema room, and hair and beauty salon.

Rangeford Village’s expansion has resulted in the creation of three integrated retirement communities across the UK: Wadswick Green in Wiltshire, Mickle Hill in North Yorkshire, and Siddington Park in the Cotswolds due to open later in 2022. Plus, the construction commencement of Homewood Grove in Surrey, as well as the recent successful acquisition of a much sought-after site in Stapleford, Cambridgeshire.
