Wadswick Green, the modern lifestyle village for the over-60s in Corsham had good reason to celebrate as it hosted the topping off event for Almond Close, its second development phase. Joining the celebration on Tuesday, 1st May was Ruth Hopkinson, chairman of Corsham Town Council, who lent her hand with the event’s ribbon cutting ceremony. Almond Close’s 45 brand new apartments will embrace the ethos of Wadswick Green and its residents, who are semi- or fully-retired and want to live an activity-rich life in a friendly community.

Lyth Watson of Rangeford Holdings, the developer behind Wadswick Green, comments: “One of our key objectives has and continues to be the creation of a modern and inspiring living environment for the over 60s. The completion of Almond Close is therefore an exciting milestone, taking our total number of residences to 157. Our team and existing tenants are looking forward to welcoming the new residents to our friendly village.”

Interested buyers for Almond close have a choice of one, two and three bedroom apartments and residents can take immediate advantage of the village’s extensive on-site amenities. These include the highly-rated restaurant The Greenhouse, a gym, hair salon, swimming pool including Jacuzzi, sauna, steam rooms and a spa offering a wide choice of relaxing treatments and enticing day packages.

Similar to the already completed Courtyard Apartments and Pavilion Residences, the homes at Almond Close will feature spacious kitchens with engineered, high-quality hardwood flooring and the latest Neff appliances. The living rooms offer a choice of wooden floors and boast large picture windows that lead onto walk on balconies with stunning woodland or valley views.

Owners will also benefit from modern bathrooms including walk-in-showers with luxury taps and fittings. Thorough insulation caters for peace and quiet and supports the energy efficient heating, whilst wide entrances and lifts as well as high-efficiency double-glazed windows, providing a bright and friendly feel.

The adjacent Greenhouse Restaurant is a popular destination for residents and locals alike, hosting regular events such as wine tasting evenings, fashion shows and bank holiday BBQs. The restaurant’s outside terrace is particularly popular in the summer months and perfect to enjoy a refreshing beverage.

Wadswick Green’s first phase, which was completed in spring 2016, attracted a high volume of interest from prospective buyers. Set over 25 acres in the rolling Wiltshire countryside, on the site of the former HMS Royal Arthur Naval College that Prince Philip attended, Wadswick Green is a modern village with ancient roots.

There is plenty of local life and history to enjoy which is nurtured by close links to the adjacent hamlet of Wadswick. The villages of Box, Neston and Lacock are only minutes away. The market town of Corsham and the historical city of Bath are within easy reach and owners can use Wadswick Green’s chauffeur service to access these.
