Wadswick Green, the contemporary later living village for over 60s, set over 25 acres in the rolling Wiltshire countryside has launched its latest phase, Ash Lane, comprising 45 modern one, two and three bedroom apartments. Joining the official launch on Tuesday 11th February was Gillian Sanders, Corsham Town Council Vice-Chairman.
Apartments boast extra spacious open-plan layouts, which create an inviting and comfortable atmosphere, with large picture windows that lead onto balconies with views of the surrounding landscaped gardens and countryside. Some of the apartments even feature double or triple balconies, providing an abundance of outdoor space and alternative views.
The Ash Lane apartments have been designed with the over 60s in mind – independent and active lifestyle with built-in discrete later living features. Kitchens are innovative and modern with moveable island units; high-quality hardwood flooring and the latest Neff appliances including slide and hide oven doors. Bathrooms feature easily accessible walk-in-showers and luxury taps and fittings, as well as a bath in the two and three bed apartments. Utility rooms with separate washing machine and tumble driers have been fitted in every Ash Lane apartment, which is a brand-new offering at Wadswick Green.
All homes at Wadswick Green have their own front door and feature wide entrances and lifts as well as high-efficiency double-glazed windows, providing a bright and cheerful feel. Thorough insulation supports the energy efficient underfloor heating.
New residents of Ash Lane can take immediate advantage of the village’s extensive amenities including a swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gym, spa and hair salon. The village is also home to The Greenhouse Coffee Shop and Restaurant, which is open to the public and attracts visitors from surrounding towns thanks to its charming décor, large sun terrace and great menu.
To embrace the social aspect of community living, residents have created regular social groups such as book clubs, crafting and walking groups. Wadswick Green also arrange regular events, days out and offer a chauffeur service that provides transport to Corsham and other nearby towns. Those who require care can also receive onsite 24/7 domiciliary care through Rangeford Care. Personalised care and support plans can be created to provide companionship and help with daily tasks such as getting dressed, washing and preparing meals, or even short-term rehabilitation following an operation.
Commenting on the launch, Gillian Sanders says, “It is encouraging to witness the growth of such a strong and nurturing local retirement village developing multiple links with the wider Corsham community. I look forward to welcoming new Wadswick Green residents to Corsham and watching mutual beneficial ties grow stronger and stronger.”
Angela McKimmie, Sales and Marketing Director at Rangeford Villages comments, “Wadswick Green has a special place in our heart as it was Rangeford Village’s first development. We are thrilled to be launching this latest phase, Ash Lane, and continuing to develop Wadswick Green as an innovative later living village, which enables people to make the most of their retirement. We have received a fantastic response for Ash Lane since its launch and have taken five reservations already.”
